Ironically this episode was paired up with the ULTRA-Famous " Wishing You Well".Despite being far from good in many people’s visions, this episode was ranked #12 on the Best Day Ever convention from November 9- 10, 2006.This is the only episode where SpongeBob's spatula has sentience.Make SpongeBob not be naked for most of the episode.Have SpongeBob not cry during The Spatula Crying Scene. At least Le Spatula was never seen again after this episode. It tries to do a moral but does it terribly. The Title Card and The music was relaxing and good.SpongeBob is mostly seen naked in this episode, which is. The biggest problem in this episode comes from the scene where SpongeBob has a huge meltdown over Spat in the hospital and says his infamous quote "all that glitters is not gold" which doesn't have a true meaning - even with interpretation, it's a cliché moral that this episode tried to teach. It also has a very odd and confusing ending. And on that topic, this episode had the highest amount of SpongeBob crying, even more than A Day Without Tears and SpongeBob You're Fired.

And it also tries way too hard to be a soap opera parody, but fails mostly because of SpongeBob crying. Also, he had to sell everything he has (possibly including Gary) and his own clothes just to get Le Spatula, only for him to run off and betray him afterwards since it was very uncooperative. This is not the only episode that has some awful French stereotypes, but it's also very mean, and it seems that SpongeBob really has a fetish for his spatula that's been broken before time and time again. Why this episode is NOT golden in the slightest? 1 Why this episode is NOT golden in the slightest?.
